Buehler struck out 11 over seven scoreless innings, allowing four hits and no walks, in the 7-3 win over the Orioles.

Buehler earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 16.4 for the season, seventh among all players and third among National League pitchers, behind Stephen Strasburg of the Nationals (18.7) and Josh Hader of the Brewers (16.7).

Streak—Giants pitcher Johnny Cueto has now earned Box-Toppers points for 12 straight seasons after earning his first Player of the Game honor in 2019 Tuesday.

Cueto (5IP H 0R BB 4K W in the 5-4 win over the Pirates) earned his first Box-Toppers points in 2008 with the Reds and has 104.8 career points, 72nd among all players since 1995, when Box-Toppers tracking began. With his 1.0 point Tuesday, he passes Jamie Moyer (104.0) on the “all-time” list and now trails 71st-ranked player Scott Kazmir (105.1). He ranks 20th among active players in career points.

Cueto’s best season was 2014 with the Reds when he had 22.4 Box-Toppers points, fourth among all players.
