Notable—Ross Stripling of the Dodgers became the fourth pitcher this season to earn Player of the Game honors for batting.
Stripling (2-2 0R BI in the 5-4 win over the Diamondbacks) had a +1.0 Box-Toppers game score for batting, best among all Dodgers players Tuesday. He had a game score of -5.8 for pitching (4.2IP 7H 4R 2BB 7K ND).
The other pitchers who have earned Player of the Game honors for batting in 2019 are Zack Greinke of the Diamondbacks on April 2 and German Marquez of the Rockies and Luke Weaver of the Diamondbacks, both on May 26.
