The Seattle Mariners lead Box-Toppers first weekly team rankings report of the 2019 season.

Here are Box-Toppers 2018 season team rankings, through the games of Thursday,April 11. The column BTP shows the number of Box-Toppers points players on the team accumulated this season. The column BTP/wk shows have many points teams accumulated from April 5 to 11. The column Wk ago shows the team's rank as of April 4.

Meanwhile, the New York Mets are the top-ranked National League team and the Tampa Bay Rays are the hottest team of the past week.

Mariners players have accumulated 16.0 Box-Toppers points through the games of April 11, picking up 7.0 points in the past week. They also have baseball’s best winning percentage (.867).

The Mariners also led team rankings after the season’s first week (as of April 4), though Box-Toppers didn’t post team rankings after only one week due to the small sample size.

The Mariners are led by shortstop Tim Beckham with 3.5 Box-Toppers points, who leads American League batters in player rankings. Top pitcher is closer Hunter Strickland with 2.0 points. He ranks 13th among AL pitchers. Eleven different Mariners players have earned Box-Toppers points so far this season.

The Mets lead NL teams with 10.2 Box-Toppers points, fifth among all teams. The Mets earned 4.5 points in the past week, rising from sixth place overall last week.

The Mets are led by pitcher Steven Matz with 3.0 Box-Toppers points, third among NL pitchers. Top batter is Michael Conforto with 1.5 points, ninth among NL batters. Six different Mets players have earned Box-Toppers points so far this season.

The Rays are the hottest team of the week, earning 7.7 Box-Toppers points in the past week. They have 14.2 points on the season, second among all teams, rising from third place last week.

Using standard box score statistics, Box-Toppers uses a simple formula to determine a Player of the Game for each Major League Baseball game played. That player is the person who contributed most to his team’s win. Box-Toppers tracks who most helps their team win the most games. Using standard box score statistics, Box-Toppers uses a simple formula to determine a Player of the Game for each Major League Baseball game played. That player is the person who contributed most to his team’s win. Players earn Box-Toppers points for being named Player of the Game and can earn bonus points for being Player of the Day or top player or batter in their league for the day.
