Dodgers pitcher Rich Hill is Friday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Hill struck out eight over six scoreless innings, allowing two hits and one walk, in the 11-1 win over the Padres.

Hill earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 6.0 for the season, 38th among National League pitchers.

Hill had a Box-Toppers game score Friday of +11.0, same as Mets pitcher Jason Vargas, who was Player of the Game in the 3-0 win over the Nationals (6IP 3H 0R 0BB 8K W). But Hill held the tiebreaker to earn overall Player of the Day because he allowed fewer hits than Vargas—two vs. three.
