Samardzija struck out 10 over 7 2/3 innings, allowing six hits, two runs and no walks, in the 7-2 win over the Brewers.

American League Player of the Day—Ryon Healy of the Athletics hit two home runs and went 2-for-3, driving in five runs, in the 5-3 win over the Blue Jays.

Healy earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being AL Player of the Day, giving him 6.2 for the season, most of any of the seven who earned Player of the Game honors Monday. Healy ranks 14th in Box-Toppers season player rankings, third among AL batters behind Miguel Sano of the Twins (6.5) and Aaron Judge of the Yankees (6.5).
